The most important thing you wear is your smile.
Cosmetic dentistry focuses on the aesthetic appearance of your smile. Many people are unhappy with the appearance of their smile, but are not sure what they need to do to improve it…
Here at Saving Smiles , we offer a wide range of cosmetic dental treatments to suit you and your requirements.
Tooth Cavities and Decay
Dental cavities are holes in teeth caused by tooth decay. Teeth are in an environment of constant acid attack that strips the teeth of important minerals and breaks the teeth down. Small cavities can become root canals within a year.
As a cavity grows, more tooth structure is lost. Lost tooth structure leads to a greater likelihood of fractured teeth, recurrent decay, and tooth loss.
Our goal as your dentist, is to achieve a healthy balance between prevention and restoration. Regular visits to the dentist are key to being cautious, so the cavity can be monitored and treated before it grows too much.
To treat a cavity, we will remove the decayed portion of the tooth and then “fill” the area on the tooth where the decayed material once lived. Fillings are also used to repair cracked or broken teeth and teeth that have been worn down from misuse (such as from nail-biting or tooth grinding). Read more on Fillings here.

Composite Bonding
Composite bonding is a very conservative dental treatment, used to conceal imperfections such as chipped, cracked, or discoloured teeth.
Composite bonding is a completely pain free procedure.
• No anaesthetic is required.
• No drilling is required.
Just polishing of the teeth, and then gently adding on the resin material and then giving that a very high grade polish at the end.
Teeth Whitening FAQs
Stains on teeth appear when colored molecules stick to the plaque, tartar, and the surface of our teeth. Dental hygiene cleans help remove plaque and tartar, but sometimes the stains still appear in the layer below called the dentin. The teeth whitening solution applied to the teeth combines with oxygen from the air and carbon in the dentin to break apart the staining molecules stuck on the teeth.
A major benefit of whitening your teeth under dental professional care is that you significantly reduce the risk of any damage to tooth enamel, gums, or otherwise. Obtaining teeth whitening from a dental professional ensures you are getting legitimate whitening products from reputable vendors applied by professionally trained staff. This will also reduce your chances for tooth sensitivity or root damage.
Teeth whitening lasts longest when patients follow a healthy diet, avoid smoking, avoid teeth staining foods and drinks, utilize a straw when possible, and maintain regular dental hygiene cleans.
Our teeth whitening solutions can last several months and can be maintained by the patient as necessary.
Teeth whitening starts from £350
Composite Bonding FAQs
Composite bonding starts from £400 per tooth
This depends on diet, oral hygiene habits and where the tooth is positioned. However, as a very rough guide, we say you would be looking at 4 to 8 years.
Composite bonding can be done in one visit.
The treatment is not painful, there will be no need to have an injection for this treatment.
We advise you allow an hour after having treatment done to let the composite bonding settle.
Don’t try and bite into anything that’s rock hard, like hard toffee. And absolutely no opening bottles with your teeth, although this stands for your natural ones too.
This differs from each patient. Your dentist will check them on your 6 monthly check up appointments
