Our very popular dentist, Mr K hopes to get his teeth into more leisurely activities after saying a fond farewell to patients and staff.
A surprise retirement celebration was held at the practice on Friday December 7th.
Nigel Kirkpatrick is leaving Saving Smiles in Rushden, formerly known as Queen Street Dental Practice, after 29 years at the practice. .
Now, 61-years-old he took ownership of the practice from Robert Hobson in 1989
Nigel has looked after generations of families over the last three decades and is sad to say goodbye.
He is saying goodbye to mums and dads whom he first saw as babies or children. They have come for all their lives and are now bringing their own children which is really nice. There’s a lot of continuity.
Classic car enthusiast Nigel said he is now looking forward to retirement.
Vivak Shah, the new principal says, “The whole team will miss him. We wish him a really happy retirement and thank him for everything. He is very popular.”
