We understand that the closure of Cheyne Walk Orthodontics in Northampton may have left you feeling uncertain about your ongoing orthodontic care. If you or your child were under active treatment, you should have received a letter from the local NHS commissioning team, outlining who will be taking over your care.
However, if you had not yet started treatment and were still on the waiting list, you will need to be re-referred to another orthodontic practice. Unfortunately, this means you or your child will be placed at the bottom of the new waiting list, which can take up to two years. We are currently appealing this decision in the hope that you or your child can be placed further up the list at the appropriate practice, but at this moment, you will be starting from scratch.
We fully understand how frustrating and unfair this situation is, and we are continuing to advocate for your best interests. While we are unable to provide NHS orthodontic care at Weedon Saving Smiles, our dentist, Sarah, can offer private orthodontic treatment and is currently offering free assessments for both children and adults.
In the meantime, if you experience any orthodontic emergencies or issues with your braces before being reassigned to a new NHS provider, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are here to help, even if you’re not an existing patient — just give us a call, and we will do our best to make you comfortable and provide the support you need.
Please note: We are unable to offer NHS orthodontic care, but we can assist with private treatment options.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenging situation together. We are committed to supporting you throughout this transition.
