Dr Vivak Shah

Dr Shah joined the practice in 2015 as an associate, then a partner and most recently a principal in October 2016. He understands the needs of the local community and knows many of the patients. He is a member of the GDC, BDA, Royal college of surgeons and local dental committee for Northamptonshire and is involved in education and facilitation with several university institutions. He enjoys all aspects of clinical care with a special interest in prevention, patient education implants to replace missing teeth. In addition, he has over the years developed an interest in teaching and is certified by Oxford Brooks University to teach post graduate doctors and dentists. Outside of dentistry, he has a keen sporting interest and enjoys travelling to learn different cultures.

Dr Nigel Slack

Nigel is our GDC registered dentist and has been providing quality dental care to mostly private patients in a relaxed friendly manner for over 35 years, still maintaining a small NHS contract for children. He undertook extended orthodontic training with the East Anglia hospital network and continued to work part time at Northampton General Orthodontic and Maxillofacial unit, mentored by consultant Gavin Greig for 8 years. With such extensive clinical knowledge and experience our patients can feel confident discussing their treatment options.

Nigel enjoys sailing, watching rugby, especially The Northampton Saints, and time with family.

Clare Haylett

Clare has worked in dentistry for over 25 years, starting her career as a dental nurse before graduating from the Eastman Dental Hospital, with a First Class Honours degree in Dental Hygiene in 2023. In addition, she was awarded “BSDHT graduate of the year for clinical excellence.”

Clare has a passion for dentistry and is committed to providing exceptional care for her patients, tailoring treatments to support them with their oral health and gum conditions.

Clare’s approach to dental care is rooted in compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. She believes in fostering a comfortable and supportive environment for her patients and her caring nature particularly shines when supporting patients with anxiety.

Outside of work, Clare loves spending time with her three children. She enjoys being outdoors (particularly when the sun is shining) and she is also a keen baker, with the Victoria sponge being her signature bake!

Kim Slack

Kim has worked with Nigel for over 25 years. They owe much of their success as a working partnership to their professional respect for each other’s knowledge and career achievement. Kim was formally trained at the Royal Dental Hospital, subsequently working with consultants at St Georges Hospital London and Greenbank Plymouth. Her caring nature puts patients at ease as soon as they enter the surgery.
